Pool Tables
Pool Table Movers in Bellingham, WA – Slate & Leveling
A pool table isn’t furniture — it’s a disassembly and reassembly job with real weight and precision involved, and it’s exactly the kind of move a lot of general movers turn down outright. If you’ve called around and heard “we don’t do those,” you’re not alone. Here’s what actually goes into moving one correctly.

Why It’s Specialized
Why pool tables need specialized handling
The slate is heavy and breakable. Most quality pool tables use one or more slate slabs for the playing surface, and slate cracks if it’s mishandled or set down wrong — it needs to be removed, wrapped, and transported flat, not leaned or stacked.
Disassembly has to happen in the right order. Rails, pockets, felt, and slate all come apart in a specific sequence. Doing it out of order risks damaging the felt or the rail joints.
Reassembly affects how the table plays. A poorly releveled table after reassembly leads to a table that doesn’t play true — the felt has to be reattached correctly and the slate leveled properly at the new location.
